Pad printing lends itself particularly well to printing two & three dimensional objects, even with difficult shapes. We pride ourselves in the fact that our staff is very knowledgeable of what types of inks & printing methods should be used to achieve good adhesion to the various forms of plastic.

Pad printing is used for printing on otherwise impossible products in many industries including medical, automotive, promotional, apparel, electronics, appliances, sports equipment and toys. It can also be used to deposit functional materials such asconductive inks, adhesives, dyes and lubricants.

The use of silicon transfer pads for the application of ink makes pad printing the ideal method of transferring images or text onto irregular three dimensional surfaces and compound angles. Our machines can print at a maximum image length of 6 inches. Larger images are not well-suited to the pad printing process due to the nature of the application process. We do offer other printing techniques such as screen printing should you require a larger imprint area.

Typical products printed upon using pad printing include golf balls, pens, cups, mugs, hard hats, promotional products, toys, plastic housewares, & injection molded components. Plastic, metal, or ceramic substrates can be marked by this process, on convex, concave, curved, recessed, and discontinuous surfaces.

The special qualities of the inks used in pad printing allow for a clean, crisp image to be picked up by the silicone pad, and transferred completely to the substrate. Depending on the ink type used, extremely high resistance against mechanical abrasion or chemicals can be achieved. Pad printing allows wet-on-wet multi-color printing (without intermediate drying of the ink) on non-absorbent surfaces, reducing downtime. We offer custom Pantone(PMS) color matching service to match inks to the end user's color specification.

Pad printing is generally considered an inexpensive printing option, particularly suited for high volume, single or multi-color production runs.
